If you want peace, tranquility, time away from the big smoke, views for kilometres, fresh air, privacy and any other virtue you can attribute to the countryside then this is the place for you. If you just want to look at stars then come here! It's not far from Sydney and yet the stars and satellites and meteors are visible with the naked eye. I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this place. The nearby town of Kangaroo Valley is a short drive away so if you require supplies or want to eat out then you'll have to head here. It is a delightfully quaint town so you can have the best of both worlds, an escape in your chosen cottage and some civilization close by.

Very disappointed when we arrived. For the prices we paid, didn't expect the cottages to be so shabby. We booked 3 cottages:dairy, yurt and Sunnybank. All without aircon. A torture when we arrived at a hot day. No flyscreen on doors. We had to let flies and mosquitoes flood in because we had to open doors to avoid dying in heat. In Sunnybank the floor is still concrete, not even tiling. The kitchen cabinet doors are made by alum. Looked extremely shabby. And can't close properly. My friend's foot got hurt from it. A very tiny TV. Everything looks shabby anyway. Our worst holiday experience:(:(:( and we paid so much money!!!!!!

Wow, what an experience!!!!! My husband Bill and I took my father to Misty Glen for his surprise 80th birthday weekend away, as he loves farms and animals . He was amused, couldn't get enough time spent feeding animals and strolling around with a walking stick breathing in fresh air and listening to beautiful birds songs.Greg was driving pass and stopped to welcome us, while Kurt and Johnny were in charge of animal feeding and taking us for a drive through the bush. Helen was absolutely amazing, welcoming, kind and patient to answer all questions about farm and the animals, not to mention offering any assistance needed at any time. We were lucky to see 2 day old piglets and were hoping to be there to welcome a baby horse, due any time now. The place was very clean and tidy and stocked with all necessities .....we were pleasantly surprised .The Internet connection wasn't good but it didn't bother us as the caretaker was just few meters away if needed. We were impressed with scenery and soroundings and didn't really mind having a small tv with not many channels . Thank you Helen and Greg , for making my dad's unforgettable birthday and very special weekend for all 5 us. We will definitely be back ! Regards, Bill and Vesna

Just back to Sydney from a recent farmstay at the Cedars. I stay here almost every year and love the experience.

Stayed here a while back with some overseas visitors, in Misty Glen cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the misty, mystical setting and the beautiful shire draught horses.
