19 kilometres south-east of Kempsey, Killick Beach is bordered by the natural beauty of the Hat Head National Park, starting near the village of Crescent Head in the south the beach extends to Hungry south of the village of Hat Head. The southern end of Killick Beach is protected, having been declared a National Surfing Reserve.
